Painting with acrylic and raw pigments from Roussillon, France on hardboard. In the Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur region in southern France, these ochre deposits range from yellow, orange and red...on a closer inspection, I also saw blues, purples, and greens! No longer mined for their pigments, what remains are fragile cliffs and hills with dramatic formations and amazing color us to enjoy.
