Does he really love the shoes? No. Are you kidding, it is all about the box. Out of curiosity and playfulness, he checks it out. Could there be prey inside? Real, imaginary or maybe both? *****This painting is one of thirteen chosen in the 2020 Calendar Competition Exhibition for the Reyburn House Art Gallery in Whangarei, New Zealand. As a fundraiser for the Northland Society of Arts, the calendar is now on sale.*****
*Please Note: The frame is not a real frame, it is part of the painting, Trompe l'oeil," to fool the eye". Acrylic painting on canvas, 18" x 24".
SUGGESTION: If you are interested in a Fine Art America print or canvas, have a look at the canvas print with a gallery wrap option with 'mirrored sides', it will also continue the illusion of the frame.
