Description
This is an abstract image inspired by the Mayan rain god, Chac. It is a handprinted collograph, my first attempt to print a collograph without using a press.

This is something extraordinary! I don't understand how you do this, but I can imagine your labor and the beauty of this creation. Too good...

This is a beautiful print Pamela, it must be impressive in person, being a print that size. Beautiful colors and texture that replicate the feeling of Mayan glyphs and and clothes..... I imagine you came back in and worked it a bit after impression. Did you do more impression of this image? Well done!!
Pamela Iris Harden replied:
Thank you, Cliff! It is the only impression of this image and an experiment to see how I could print a collograph without using a press. Guess you could call it a 'deconstructed' collograph with shapes cut out, relief inked, layers of colour and hand pressed onto black paper. And not being a 'traditionalist', I of course, worked it a bit with my fingers....since they were covered with ink anyway.
