As a much earlier work of mine, this is an interpretive COPY of Vincent Van Gogh's 'Wheat Field with Alpilles Foothills in the Back Ground', from June 1888. Inspired by Van Gogh's landscapes, I chose this particular Wheat Field of his, painted in oil, to experiment with landscapes in watercolor. An 'Old Master' as a teacher, I thank you, Vincent!

Recent works are acrylic paintings, watercolor, mixed media, monotypes, and digital art. , I have had a keen interest in archaeology and the art of ancient civilizations for many years, especially as I studied ancient art and Pre-Columbian art history at the University of North Carolina-Asheville, where I received a BFA in 1994. With my focus in printmaking, I developed a body of work inspired by the Aztec and Mayan pyramids in Mexico.
